Krabi is a Thailand Province on the southern west coast region. It is now becoming a popular tourist destination because of its awesome beaches and leisure activities that everyone can enjoy. Activities that you can do include island-hopping, snorkeling, rock climbing, sea kayaking and more.
These are the activities that you can do and places you can visit in your stay in Krabi.
1. Enjoy the green screneries
Krabi is full of natural views of hills and green sceneries. There are a lot of tourists but it’s not as crowded as Phuket. You’ll get that peaceful feel of the place and the comfort of seeing tourists anywhere you go.
2. Hike the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea)
This is the most visited temple in Krabi by locals and foreigners. In order to reach the top, you have to take 1,237 steps. You have to bring your own water and wear proper clothing incase it will be too hot to hike up. It will be challenging if you are not physically fit but you can always take a rest in between. The view on the top is pretty amazing. You will be on top of the hill with the Big Buddha. You will see the top view of the town and of Krabi. Beware of monkeys as they might take your belongings such as hat and purse. This will be a good physical activity for you with your friends or family. Enjoy it and have a good rest after!
3. Feed the monkeys
Monkeys will be everywhere. They will be in the temples and some islands in Krabi. Though, they are pretty used to the people. A lot of visitors will be feeding them with bananas. You can try it too! Just be careful with your belongings because there are naughty monkeys just hanging on the tree.
4. Fall in love with the beaches and islands.
Do the island-hopping to Maya Bay, Poda Island, Hong Island Lagoon. What you will be seeing is just truly beautiful. The water is clean and clear and the sand is amazingly white.
5. Do activities like an adventurious person will do.
Eventhough you are really not that adventurious, or that you don’t even know how to swim. I suggest you try because you are in Krabi. Visitors usually enjoy activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, diving and rock climbing.
6. Get the perfect picture to remember.
Since you have got the perfect view and background, you should not be wasting your chances and take selfies and photos as many as possible.
There was even a cave called Phra Nang or “Penis Cave” because inside are wood penises or lingam. It was believed that there was a Princess stuck in that cave a long time ago. I don’t know what happened to her next, but maybe you can find the answers when you visit Krabi.
Krabi has amazing beaches and islands that everyone who visits will not forget. I have visited quite a lot of beaches and even in my country Philippines, we do have amazing beaches as well. But for me, this place is the best in Thailand so far. Well, I haven’t really seen all but people always compare Krabi to Phuket and they always choose Phuket. I understand people have different opinions. Just go and check it out for yourself to see!
