One of the many must-visit places in London is Camden town where one of the largest markets is situated. If you are one of those who enjoy trying out different kinds of food while in a new place, then Camden market should be on your list to visit while in London.

Camden Market

While visiting London, my beautiful friend Syl, with her husband, invited me to go to Camden market. From their place, we took the tube to Camden town. Apparently, there are many options to reach the town wherever you are coming from. The quickest and most convenient is the tube, however, there are also buses available as well as taxis.

I didn’t know what to expect but if there is one thing I was surprised to see at that time, it was the number of people on the streets. I remember it being the time when the UK has just started easing restrictions due to Covid. People there were everywhere, most of the time without masks, and no social distance at all.

Along the streets, there are shops for everything- clothing, food, souvenirs, etc.

If you go to Camden market, you should at least try and enjoy their delicious food. There is an incredible mix of food options in Camden from steak to noodles to something you even haven’t heard of before.

Because it was on a weekend, the queue was longer. However, trust me, the food is worth the wait.

What we tried was Steak and Chips for less than 10GBP including the drink.

It looks small but it’s already heavy for me. I ordered an additional egg because I thought I was that hungry but in the end, it was too much for me.

In terms of eating areas, there isn’t much to sit on especially during weekends. So most likely, people would be standing while eating or like in our case, just sat on a step next to the booth.

After our snack, we explored more of the market. We walked and went inside some shops which were selling interesting products.

Finally, after walking for an hour or two, we decided to get a small cup of ice cream before going back.

This time, we took the bus which took longer but we enjoyed the view better as we passed through streets in London.
